Jules Verne recommends “Travel Health Insurance” to its customers to be protected by an assurance in their personal or group travels.
According to their allowances, these insurances pay for the expenses appear due to an illness or an accident happens abroad.
Insurances Required by the Consulates
Countries applying schengen visa require the documentation of health insurance, covering all countries applying schengen visa and whole duration of your stay. For long stay business visa applications, it is a must to supply the documentation of your health insurance, covering whole duration of your first time travel. Especially some of the consulates of the countries, applying schengen visa and requiring a travel health insurance, has announced that it is obligatory to have a similar insurance covering the duration of your later visits to that country and to carry the insurance documentation with you for a possible check that could be done at the border.
Health Insurance, you will have for this purpose, should at least cover the services below:
Should be valid for all schengen countries
Should cover the expenses of emergency aid and emergency medication in hospitals
Should cover the expenses of a possible transference back to your home town due to an illness
Minimum assurance limit should be 30.000 Euro (thirty thousand Euro)
For the customers who request from us to have their Travel Health Insurance done, we would like to mention that in insurance policy applications we take into account the dates you mention and the requirements of the consulate. As a result of this, insurance policies are done for a long period and according to the procedures the amount you pay for insurance policy cannot be refundable. Generally, the duration of visa given is as much as the duration of your travel health insurance, so if you apply for 3-5 days visa then you could make a promissory note for a week or 15 days, for longer stays it is better to make 6 months or a year, including the points given above. We recommend you to ask us for advice.
The authorities, checking passports at the border of the countries that are forming the boundaries of schengen area are quite careful whether the criteria are met or not. Besides, if the officer in charge finds out that the schengen visa is not given by the country you are making your first entrance to, then they even have the right to restrain your entrance to the country.
